Pure Formosa Concept Hotel

On the positive side, the hotel boasts a beautifully curated Boho-style interior that adds a touch of charm to the ambiance. The rooftop provides a stunning panoramic view that is truly a highlight of the stay. In terms of amenities, the room is well-equipped with essentials, including a refrigerator, kettle, and ample storage space. The breakfast buffet is decent, offering a variety of fresh fruits, bread, and cereals to cater to different tastes. However, there are some notable downsides to consider. The coffee served at the hotel, though coming from a machine with multiple options, left much to be desired in terms of flavor. Additionally, despite the hotel being relatively empty during my visit, the enforced three designated breakfast times seemed rigid and less accommodating for a leisurely vacation schedule. Another concern is the potential for noise disturbances. The thin walls make it easy to hear activities in neighboring rooms, including showers and other daily routines. This could pose a significant inconvenience, especially during peak occupancy periods. The parking situation is also worth mentioning. The hotel's private underground garage has limited spaces and comes with a steep nightly fee of 20 EUR. Fortunately, there are parking options on the street directly in front of the hotel, albeit at a cost. However, savvy guests may find free parking in the nearby side streets, which are just a short two-minute walk away.

In March we stayed at this hotel for 10 nights. In our room we had huge nuisance from a gentleman who was throwing up all day. We reported this to the front desk around 7 in the evening and they told us that we could switch rooms, but that there were only superior rooms (and that we would have to pay extra for this). We thought this was already quite uncustomary. When we still could not sleep at 3 in the night, we went to the front desk to ask if they had a solution. The receptionist first went to listen at the door herself, but said she didn't hear any puking noises there. We told her, "that's because the hallway of the room is very deep." She asked us if we were sure it was vomit and if our neighbor didn't just have a cold, "'don't you believe us?!' No we go to the reception for our fun at night! Worst of all we also felt that we indicated that the reception really needed to check on our neighbor because he was probably dehydrated or in a bad condition, they did not do this. We then asked the reception if we could then switch rooms for a fee ( wich we thought was ridiculous, but ok) She said they couldn't do that. We booked another hotel that same night, didn't sleep and left right away the next day. We didn’t get any money back, even we payed for the last night, but leaved earlier. Bad service!

Loved this hotel. The interior was very nice and everything was spotlessly clean. The rooms are on the small side however the interior design is awesome. Bed was very comfortable and the AC worked brilliantly. The rooftop bar and pool is a lovely area to chill with panoramic views of faro Only a short 5 minute walk from the main restaurants in the area.

The worst hotel experience ever in Portugal since 15 years. The tiniest bathroom I ever saw. Going to the toilet is almost impossible and I'm not a tall or heavy person. Shower is very small and unhandy. Breakfast is very sad and low quality. Everything is packed in plastic, even the olive oil. You have to chose the exact hour when to have breakfast because the hotel has too much rooms for the small restaurant. And when I wanted to take a cup of tea after heaving breakfast to my room someone of the staff told me in a very rude way it's forbidden. Like I wanted to steel a 1 euro cup. Never again!

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. It is a lovely boutique hotel and we would definitely recommend it/stay again. The hotel is great for location - 20 minute drive to/from airport, right in the middle of Olhão and a 10 minute walk from the train station (which was great for visiting Faro). The hotel location is also great for accessing nearby restaurants and also for accessing the sightseeing boat tours. We stayed in a Premium Room and really enjoyed the layout/way in which the room was furnished and decorated. Functional yet stylish. Very comfortable bed. The rest of the hotel is very stylish with lots of natural light. Breakfast was delicious and a great variety off food available. Rooftop pool and bar area are a great asset and allow for a great view of Olhão. Staff very friendly and accommodating.
